Bi-Cultural Hebrew Academy (BCHA) Girls’ Volleyball off to Stellar Start

Four games. Four wins. The BCHA varsity volleyball team has kicked off its season with renewed energy, determination and clear goals, proving that Bobcat athletics are built on more than just participation; they are built on performance.

This fall, BCHA has won every match, competing against top schools from Connecticut and New York, including Greenwich Country Day, the French American School and St. Luke’s School. Led by coach Camila Nunez, the Bobcats feature senior outside/middle hitter Tamar Links alongside a standout freshman duo of setter Hannah Bahar and libero Hannah Haron. A mix of experience and rising talent has set the tone for this season.

Meanwhile, juniors Diana Bildner and Eva Halperin have become true forces at the net this year. Newcomers to volleyball, Leah Pollack and Ava Goldberg are proving to be quick learners. Both have already recorded assists and bring tremendous energy and encouragement from the sidelines, lifting the team’s spirit.

In their most recent game against The Harvey School, Links, Bahar and Haron once again delivered. Links tallied 8 kills and 11 aces, while Bahar and Haron combined for 4 aces, 12 digs and 10 assists. The winning point came off a diving save by freshman Victoria Angel.

But the Bobcats’ success is about more than numbers. Their undefeated start is a reflection of their collective buy-in, drive and teamwork, qualities that are impossible to ignore early on in this season.
