Bi-Cultural Students consistently place well ahead of the national averages in academic assessments. Some recent examples:
100% of Bi-Cultural high school students taking the Advanced Placement (AP) Exams in 2022 scored either a 3, 4 or 5 on these challenging and important tests (Last year it was 92%). The national average is 60%.
Nine of our upper school students in eight years were accepted after junior year into the Yale School of Medicine Discovery to Cure Summer Internship Program.
This past school year, seven upper school students competed in the CIJE Innovation Day competition against 400 other teams from Jewish schools across the country and won first place in three different categories as well as a “best pitch” award.
100% of our Upper School graduates in the class of 2022 received merit-based scholarships for college, including multiple full scholarships.
BCHA was a top school in Stamford in the Stamford Literary Competition for the 2022-2023 school year, with our 3rd through 8th graders sweeping several categories. Overall, BCHA finished tops four categories and 19 students were honored in the categories of poetry, fiction and non-fiction writing.
For 2022, our middle school students excelled at the CT State Science and Engineering Fair, including a first place winner statewide, plus special awards and cash prizes for several students. Three students won an Alexion Biotechnology USAID award.
BCHA had one first place winner, one second place winner and three third place winners.
In every grade from 4 through 8, our school had at least one winner.
(40 students from our 4th, 5th and 6th grades participated and there were more than 25 participants in 7th and 8th grades.)
In 2022, two Bi-Cultural seventh graders were selected from among top Yeshiva and day school students nationwide to be Truman Scholars in the two-year high-level and prestigious Tikvah Fund program examining the shared democratic foundations and biblical connections in the founding of the United States and the founding of the State of Israel.
Bi-Cultural’s Middle/High School came in 3rd in the state.

One of our BCHA students was in the top 30 of 6,000 applicants and qualified for this prestigious program.
Placing 10th in the United States was a Bi-Cultural 10th grader who also became eligible for a summer internship at Lockheed.
ANNUAL HACKATHON
In the last two CIJE computer competitions BCHA students took first place for 2020/2021 and 3rd place 2021/2022.

Bi-Cultural had a first place winner in the advanced category, and 2nd and 3rd place winners in our 11th grade.
1 Bi-Cultural student came in 3rd place, making over $17,000 in less than 3 months! A member of our faculty also came in first place as the overall winner of the competition.
