04 Feb BCHA Set to Host Annual Dinner Celebrating 70 Years of Jewish Education
Bi-Cultural Hebrew Academy (BCHA) is preparing to host its 70th Annual Celebration Dinner. This milestone year’s theme centers on hakarat hatov, or recognizing the good, honoring the school’s rich legacy while inspiring the future.
Gratitude has been an essential part of the school year as BCHA celebrates its 70th anniversary, reflecting on generations of leadership, learning, and community impact. The much-anticipated event will take place on Sunday, March 8, at 5:30 p.m. at the Hyatt Regency Greenwich, promising an evening of festivities, community togetherness, and gratitude toward those who have contributed to the school’s 70 years of success. Guests will enjoy cocktails, dinner, and a program highlighting this year’s honorees.
This year’s Guests of Honor are Rhoda and Avram Freedberg, recognized for their dedication and support of BCHA. The Young Leadership Award will be presented to Kate and Peretz Cik, honoring their commitment to the school and the Jewish community. Additionally, the BL Manger Foundation will receive recognition for seventy years of unwavering support of BCHA and Jewish education. Bi-Cultural Day School’s Class of 1966 will also be recognized, marking 60 years since their graduation.
BCHA is grateful to welcome back Sandi and Stuart Waldstreicher and Rachel and Greg Waldstreicher as Dinner Co-Chairs, along with Howard Wolfe as Journal Chair. With the support of dedicated staff members and parent volunteers, this year’s celebration, commemorating a remarkable 70-year milestone, promises to be truly special.
