14 Oct BCHA Upper School Visits Kinneret Day School
A group of tenth-grade volunteers from BCHA, along with Stella Cohen, the upper school director of admissions and community engagement, and Principal Felder, visited Kineret Day School in Riverdale. The purpose of the visit was to speak with Kineret students about BCHA’s Upper School and to share what makes it such a special place.
Visits like this are an important part of how BCHA connects with the wider community. Stella Cohen, whose role centers on both admissions and community engagement, joined the volunteers to introduce the Upper School to students who are thinking about their next step after Kineret. Her presence reflected the school’s commitment to building relationships with local day schools and the families they serve.
The tenth graders who came along played a central role in the visit. As current Upper School students, they were able to offer a perspective that only those living the experience can provide. Their participation showed not only their enthusiasm for their own school, but also their willingness to give their time to represent it.
By visiting Kineret Day School in person, the BCHA team had the chance to meet students face to face, answer their questions, and begin a conversation about what the Upper School has to offer. The visit was an opportunity to share the school’s story directly, through the voices of both an administrator and the students themselves.
Events like this help strengthen the connection between BCHA and neighboring schools in Riverdale, and they give prospective students a real sense of the community they could one day join.
