31 Oct Bi-Cultural Hebrew Academy (BCHA) Upper School Girls’ Volleyball Finishes Strong Season
This past week, BCHA’s Upper School girls volleyball team closed the book on another memorable fall season.
The Bobcats wrapped up the year with an 8-3 record, defeating several top opponents from around the state. Led by coach Camilla Nunez, the team came out strong, staying undefeated until the final stretch of the season.
Nunez praised the character and chemistry of this year’s group, noting how far they’ve come in building confidence and trust in one another.
“This season, we really focused on the idea of playing for the team, understanding that when each player gives her best effort, it lifts the whole group,” Nunez said. “It took time for everyone to find their rhythm, but by the end, you could see how much stronger the girls had become as a unit.”
On the court, the Bobcats played with heart and unity, led by freshmen standouts Hanah Haron and Hanah Bahar along with senior leader Tamar Links. Haron and Bahar, both newcomers, quickly found their footing and became key contributors on both sides of the ball. Haron led the team in digs, anchoring the defense while Bahar ran the offense and kept her teammates locked in.
Links capped off her senior year with a stellar season as the team’s top hitter and a consistent offensive force. As captain, she also set the tone in practice, helping younger players elevate their games.
Looking back on the season, Nunez said she’s most proud of the team’s spirit and daily commitment.
“We always kept our energy high, smiled on the court and brought positivity to every game and practice,” she said. “This team embraced those qualities fully, and it showed every time they stepped on the floor.”
