The school’s substantial student support staff includes highly-qualified and licensed learning specialists, social workers and psychology professionals who stand ready to assist students at every stage. Currently, some 70 students across all grades receive support at BCHA. At our school, help is there when it is needed. Just ask and a Child Study Team becomes a parent’s partner in making sure needs are met.
Students requiring special support currently receive this support at our school from specially-trained and licensed professionals on our staff.

The school strives to provide a unique opportunity for students of all learning styles to succeed in their studies and enjoy the full Bi-Cultural student experience. The school strives to accommodate special needs and work with the family to achieve this goal. Each child is provided an action plan, tailored specifically to his or her individual needs, in a collaborative effort between staff and parents and experienced specialists.
Specially-trained staff members are available for consultation regarding student social and emotional development. At BCHA, one-on-one or small group support is provided for students struggling to manage stress, conflict and problem-solving.
Students may qualify for speech and language therapy. Speech services include grammar, word retrieval, vocabulary, memory skills, articulation, and more.
For children with fine motor development issues, our contracted Occupational Therapist will administer appropriate testing and an appropriate course of therapy will be developed.
Students struggling with organization and executive function and needing additional support, can meet with teachers individually or in small groups during teacher’s office hours or in daily structured study halls. Some students may require classroom accommodations or modifications based on testing evaluations.
